How to Stay Motivated During Ramadan

Ramadan is a spiritual experience – one which lets an individual delve further into their patience and ability to endure. With all the great things that come during Ramadan, unfortunately, many may lose the drive they initially had – the drive to be productive and work towards attaining the goals they hope to achieve one day. During Ramadan, some may lose sight of what exactly they are working towards due to a lack of motivation and certain negative thoughts that may pop up, especially considering their sleep and food intake schedule are completely altered, leading to a deflation of energy.

Tips to Help with Motivation

With all this, it is important to stay levelled and keep your determination high. Here are a few important steps to help keep you motivated during Ramadan –

  • First and foremost, take good care of your health, both physically and mentally. Check in with yourself regularly, especially when you are feeling down or demotivated.
  • Note down your goals and what you plan to achieve in the long term and the short term to remind yourself of what is important to you!
  • Adjust your sleeping schedule so that you could start sleeping early and waking up early.
  • Indulge in the spirituality that Ramadan brings along and observe worship rituals.
