Healing Crystals and How to Use Them

There has been a recent uptick in the number of individuals that have subverted to the use of complementary and alternative medicine, which includes the use of healing crystals. There are a number of different crystals, each with their own healing abilities for mind, body, and soul as they promote the flow of good energy. While the allure of crystals may be difficult to ignore, it is also difficult to grasp what they do.

The History of Crystals

Historically speaking, crystals are ancient forms of medicine, with philosophies from Hinduism and Buddhism. However, itis important to know that there is no scientific evidence to support the use of crystals. Despite this, people are still drawn to their unique colors and intrinsic beauty. In the middle ages, people also thought that crystals brought a spiritual presence, hence people have this hunger to obtain something physical that embodies faith and spirituality. Thus, this history helps explain the contemporary love for crystals and how they are thought to have magical healing effects.

How to use crystals?

If you have a couple of crystals already lying around then this would be a great starting place because if you bought them then it is obvious that you were drawn to them for a reason. In fact, it is recommended to choose crystals without knowing their names or meanings just because when you look up the meaning of one crystal, numerous alternate definitions are procured. If there is a crystal you are somehow really drawn to, it is an energy that you need. Using your intuition is key!

A great place to put crystals is on your nightstand because you can feel their energy while you sleep or behind your computer at work. It is best to keep them in spots where you are around them for a substantial amount of the day.

When you have a crystal, the best thing to do is to set an intention on them. Hold them in your hand and visualise a white light going through them.

The next stage is to set an intention on the crystal. For example, if you have a piece of citrine (the stone of success), youwould think, “in this moment, I am hoping to enhance my career and have more beautiful opportunities open up to me in the work place.” The intention would then be implanted on the stone.

If you are interested or curious about crystals, just pick one up. No harm, no fail. Besides, crystals are a piece of the earth, so even if you did not want to open yourself up to their energies, they are still beautiful pieces of stone to look at!
