Memorable Moments

Many find looking back at happy memories heartwarming. In the age of media and technology, this has become such an easy and relaxing diversion for us – especially in moments where you may feel overwhelmed and uneasy. Click that special memories folder on your laptop, go through a photo album, or even check your archived memories on Snapchat or Instagram to relive those moments that hold a special place in your heart.

ASMR

ASMR has become a social media phenomenon over the years – from content creators creating sounds that can be weird and strange, to soothing and relaxing – but, what is ASMR? Autonomous sensory meridian response, sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. ASMR has scientifically been proven as a form of relaxation and can most definitely be used in order to self-soothe using your sense of hearing and sight too! From satisfying videos of crushing items, to slime and kinetic sand – ASMR is a great technique that can be used to self-soothe.

Vacationing

Self-Soothe vacationing is a little different from the other techniques you can use through your sense of sight – but, it does incorporate visualization. Where is your happy place? Close your eyes and transport yourself there and imagine happy scenarios whilst visualizing the scenery, environment, and location. Make sure you are doing this mindfully and you will ultimately be at ease.
