Falling in Love with Yourself Again

While a lot of people preach about the concept of self-love, how hard it is to reach that stage of self-love and self-acceptance is often unspoken of. By learning how to truly love yourself, you allow yourself to grow and love others.

What Happens When You Do Not Fall in Love with Yourself?

Loving yourself is a process that includes becoming more aware of and appreciating your story, what you enjoy, what you need, what you want, and what you believe in. And, until each person learns how to truly honor who they are, it is expected that they may encounter and face a number of issues. Some of these issues include –

  • Depression and anxiety becoming a constant backdrop in your life, holding you back from the person you truly want to become.
  • A constant yearning for deeper and more authentic relationships and friendships.
  • Difficulty in truly believing and trusting that the people surrounding you love you.
  • Never feeling like you are good enough for anyone or anything.

The Importance of Falling in Love with Yourself

When you fall in love with yourself – not selfishly, but in an appreciative way – you discover a source of love that will never run out. Once a person truly realizes their personal value, it becomes extremely difficult for others to bring them down. You let go of the growing weight of trying to impress everybody around you. Instead, you only care about impressing yourself and reaching your own goals. Furthermore, you stop searching for people to fill up the void created by your lack of self-love. You stop forming toxic relationships that only feel fulfilling in the moment. Lastly, instead of only focusing on your flaws, you learn to appreciate all the good qualities you possess. You appreciate yourself, your goals, and your thoughts in ways that nobody else can.
